The Stingy Budget’s best friends.

I don’t know about you, but when I’m low on funds I like to budget everything! And I mean everything!

So what happens when the budget suggests that you will struggle to feed yourself? What do you do?

Do you call for help?  Maybe, but not yet.

Do you spend hours at the internet café filling out over 50 applications to get a job? Done that, but still no luck, and even if we did I wouldn’t get paid until the end of next month.

So what then? Simple, a three step plan:

Step 1 – Reduce living costs without reducing what’s on the table. Enter the magical world of EuroShopper and Albert Heijn’s  “aanbot route 99” – Done: Reduced our grocery costs to nearly 60% of what they where when we arrived. //not an advert just a fact.

Step 2 – Locate and sign up to the local community gardens (being vegetarians this should reduce our costs to near 10% of our costs after arrival). — In Progress.

Step 3 – Write a business plan that will blow the socks of anyone who reads it. –In Progress. Will probably post more about this as things move forward. Unfortunately I will need to set the business up officially in the UK due to the fact that we still haven’t received our tax numbers, which is the reason we are in this mess.  😦

So now we play the waiting game, well not exactly I’ve actually got a lot to do: learning Dutch, writing a business plan, making a kickstarter project (or something similar), designing a website and writing this blog.

Still it’d be nice to get some good news.
