So we are here.

Well we’ve arrived, here, in the Netherlands.

It’s cold, it’s scary and it rains a lot (even compared to the UK).

But, it has the most beautiful sunsets, the people are really friendly and We have a really nice flat.

Life’s a little stressful at the moment. But I’m keeping on top of things – I hope.

So far there has been little unpacking going on, but we will get round to it over the weekend.

As it turns out not knowing dutch is a little less of a problem that we where lead to believe by the other expats. It’s harder to find a job, but it’s not too impossible.

I’m told that in Amsterdam if you’re Chinese and speak English, you don’t even need dutch (that’s good for my husband then).

We still need to get cable internet installed here, mobile broadband costs a fortune!

Today’s words of wisdom: On the continent, before crossing the road, tramlines or cycle path, look both ways – it’s easy to forget your in a country where they drive on the opposite side of the road and you end up looking the wrong way more often than you’d care to admit.

Foot note: So today’s post is a little boring… if you have any idea’s,  questions or input on what you want to read, then get in touch and I’ll see what I can do.

Expat note: The IND like to keep you on the phone at 0.15 euro’s a second and they are big fans of putting you on hold for 15 minuets at a time. They have a toll free number, but it’s hard to find.

Speak Soon,
